Established in 2017, Border Communities Development Foundation (BCDF) is a registered non-governmental organization based in Lagos, Nigeria. We are committed to promoting health and socio-economic development in border communities across Africa.
Border communities often face unique vulnerabilities such as limited access to healthcare, cross-border disease transmission risks, socio-economic instability, and weak infrastructure. Inadequate roads isolate communities, while high rates of human rights violations, lack of access to proper education and untreated reproductive health issues trap families in a cycle of poverty. Our work focuses on addressing these challenges through sustainable, evidence-based, and community-driven solutions.
